The Misadventures of Buddy and Friend #1-3

Created by M Sorcier

A cute, yet oddly violent, fantasy tale of action, adventure and tomfoolery that feels like a D&D campaign where everyone rolls a 1.

Latest Updates from Our Project:

Thanks for a great first two days!

Hi there, wonderful backers!

We had a really solid first two days and I wanted to thank you for helping give us such a strong start. We're sitting at 30% funded, which means we've got a great shot at getting funded by the time the campaign is over.

Most of you, at the moment are returning backers from my previous campaigns, so seriously, thank you for sticking around and being on board with all the craziness that I choose to put out in the world. That being said, I guess I don't really need to do a formal introduction, but maybe I should anyway.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with me, I'm Matta Soricer. I'm a self-taught artist and writer born and raised in Bronx, NY. Yes, that means I do all the art and writing for Sacrimony AND Buddy and Friend. That also means I don't get a lot of sleep, which is absolutely tragic because I love sleep.

Every step of the way, I've had someone telling me not to pursue art or comics or anything creative because "there's no money in it." Joke's on all of them, because I decided to pursue art and writing anyway lmao. The fact that there a few hundred people here and there that have decided to give my comics a chance despite me not being a big name in the industry makes me feel like I'm doing something right and it gives me motivation to keep telling my stories and drawing all the draws.

So yeah, thanks for checking out this weird, silly comic! I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy making it!

Thanks for your support!
-M

Also, here's some other cool campaigns I've backed that are worth checking out!

Faster Than Light: A Sci-Fi Anthology About Family

In a fast-paced, futuristic world, how do families of origin and found families stay connected?

Faster Than Light: A Sci-Fi Anthology is a deluxe 54-page, saddle-stitched collection presented by Lesser Known Comics, edited by Sarah Cooke, and featuring cover and interior art by Dom Monette and Lydia Monette.

It includes nine stunning, grown-up stories from 20 amazing creators about families and how they maintain their bonds in a fast-paced, futuristic world -- or how they struggle to do so. By family, we mean both family of origin and found family. Families come in all shapes and sizes and can include friends, partners, and more.

Bixby Grant: Fangs & Brimstone #1-2: A Supernatural Mystery

Murders pile up as Bix and Diego avoid the cops, interrogate a cat burglar, meet a demon dog and discover the contents of...The Vault!

Written by Patrick Coyle, with main story art by Gonzalo Martínez, colors by Arthur Hesli, and backup story art by Gonzalo Ruggieri, the 30 Page second issue of FANGS & BRIMSTONE stars everyone's favorite mummy detective, Bixby Grant!

Tension is high in Harbor City: Four volunteers from the corrupt Mayor’s re-election campaign have been found dead, killed in elaborate cult ceremonies. The Mayor and his supporters blame the supernatural citizens of Harbor City for the killings, making every monster in city limits a suspect – including our heroes, Bixby Grant and Diego the rockabilly vampire! Bix dodges the cops, seeks help from old friends, and shakes down a cat burglar to try and solve this case before another body turns up. But will Bix’s personal history with the murder weapon cause him to push things too far, igniting the powder keg that is Harbor City?

It's Hellboy meets The Spirit, with the tone of Batman: The Animated Series.
